Vidur Prasad Sapkota, a prominent figure in Nepali politics and a member of the Constituent Assembly, has died at the age of 59. Sapkota passed away on Thursday morning after battling an illness.
Elected to the Constituent Assembly in 2013, Sapkota was a respected leader within his party. In the wake of his death, his body was placed at the central office of his political party to allow members and supporters to pay their final respects. The party honoured Sapkota's life and political contributions, draping his body in the party flag as a sign of deep respect.
